Salzburg photographers affiliated with the Galerie Fotohof trace the footsteps of Stefan Kruckenhauser and his legendary photographic book project of the 1950’s.

Stefan Kruckenhauser’s last and most modern photographic project about the construction of a housing project for workers in Kennelbach/Vorarlberg/Austria (published in book form by the Otto Müller Verlag, Salzburg in 1952: "Ein Dorf wird…") provides both the basis and the inspiration for a contemporary treatment of the subject by the photographers Rainer Iglar, Michael Mauracher, Reinhart Mlineritsch, Hanns Otte, Andrew Phelps, and Herman Seidl.
