Photographs

Exhibition
at Nevada Museum of
Art, Reno, Nevada, USA
March
to July 2004
The
Nevada Museum of Art (NMA) will present Photographs by Reinhart
Mlineritsch an exhibition of 25 works by Austrian photographer
Reinhart Mlineritsch as part of an ongoing series of presentations based
on artists included in the NMA’s Altered Landscape: The Carol Franc
Buck Collection.
Reinhart Mlineritsch’s landscapes have a hyper-realistic quality where
everyday objects take on mysterious and puzzling dimensions. Scenes from
nature were the previous source for his images yet destructive human
interventions and the residues of consumer society have increasingly
emerged as central themes in his present work. The photographs selected
for this exhibition present scenes of mining, bridges, construction sites
and industry that examine human presence in the landscape.
