Die ganze Stadt

Image 2 of 3

Urban Salzburg is the object of an investigation by twelve Salzburg-based artistic photographers, within the context of an extensive joint project, looking at urban buildings and everyday architecture.

Each photographer chose a special district as a theme and translated his/her experience of that district into pictures. An explicit treatment of the relationship between photography and architecture in the context of the town is what unites the different conceptions of the artists.

This publication – a superior photographic investigation and inventory – provides the impetus for a discussion of contemporary architecture and town planning and to a subsequent dialogue between city dwellers and city planners.
